Biography

Yoann Le Dantec (born 1979) is a French composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist. Classically trained at the CNSMD in Paris, his musical palette ranges from the cello and classical composition to the modular synthesizer and production.

Throughout his career, he has orchestrated film scores for renowned directors like Michel Gondry and Arnaud Desplechin, and collaborated with artists such as Fatoumata Diawara and Hollie Cook.

In 2019, he founded the independent label Asymetric Sounds. There, he releases his own works—including his debut Futur Antérieur—as well as projects from artists like Popimane. His latest project, Eiloc Nalem (2026), blends organic and electronic textures, and marks the first time he records cello on his own compositions.
